Brig. Gen. Mariusz Chmielewski, PhD

A respected IT architect and scientist, he develops systems and conducts research in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and decision support. Promoted to the rank of brigadier general in 2023, he has received over 100 awards from national and international scientific institutions for significant inventions, including in biomedicine and command support.

He leads R&D projects and research in command support, computer simulation, and the application of AI methods in biomedicine at the Faculty of Cybernetics, Military University of Technology. He is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of public and classified ICT services and systems within the Department of Cybernetics of the Ministry of National Defence.

In 2012, he defended his doctoral thesis with distinction on the application of artificial intelligence and semantic analysis in crisis identification. He is also an educator and promoter of computer science, delivering original courses across more than 23 thematic modules in software engineering, artificial intelligence, programming, and cybersecurity.
